This page was written in vi. It contains no frames, no blinking text and no Java-ish applets. It is about Gnulix, the free operating system, and the scripts I wrote for it.

Stuff I Wrote

  • tinyhttpd - a web server in 400 lines of C. Do not run it on the Internet.
  • .emacs? No. I use vi. Next question.
  • cdplay - plays CDs from the command line, ejects on error (on purpose).

Why Gnulix?

Because it does not crash. Because I can read the source. Because when it breaks, I can fix it, and when Panes breaks you have to call a phone number and wait for 40 minutes listening to smooth jazz.

Compiling a kernel is the most relaxing thing you can do on a Friday night. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
