Hi. I run Gnulix on everything I own, including a 486 I found at a garage sale that now routes my whole apartment. Below: config files, hacks and rants.

Projects

mailsort.pl - sorts my mail into 40 folders by angriness of subject line.
modemwatch - redials when the ISP drops me (every 20 minutes).
fortune-y2k - fortune cookies about the end of the world.
cdplay - plays CDs from the command line, ejects on error (on purpose).

Why Gnulix?

Because it does not crash. Because I can read the source. Because when it breaks, I can fix it, and when Panes breaks you have to call a phone number and wait for 40 minutes listening to smooth jazz.

Compiling a kernel is the most relaxing thing you can do on a Friday night. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.
