The Night It Happened

It was a Tuesday. I remember because the garbage truck comes on Wednesdays and I had just taken the cans out. There was a light in the backyard, brighter than the porch light, and a sound like a refrigerator humming but bigger.

The next thing I remember is standing in the kitchen. The clock on the microwave said 4:12. I had gone outside at 11:30. My shoes were wet and there was a triangle of three little dots on my wrist.

Under hypnosis I remembered a room with a curved ceiling and small figures with large dark eyes. They were not mean. They seemed... curious. Like I was a science project. I suppose I was.

If any of this sounds familiar, please e-mail me. I run a small support group that meets in the chat room on Thursday nights. You are not crazy and you are not alone.
