I have spent eleven summers in the backwoods of MI with a camera, a tape recorder and a jar of peanut butter (bait). Here is what I have found.
Creatures I Am Researching
- The Ridge Walker - tall, hairy, shy. Most sightings near logging roads.
- The Lake Lump - something big in Lake Tamarack. Seen by fishermen since 1902.
- The Mothwing - giant winged shape near the old bridge. Red eyes.
- The Swamp Glow - floating lights that move against the wind.
- The Corn Man - figure seen standing in fields right before crop circles appear.
Expedition Log
| July 15, 1997 | Heard three loud knocks from the ridge. Knocked back with a stick. Something knocked back AGAIN. |
| September 25, 1997 | Peanut butter jar was gone in the morning. Lid was unscrewed, not broken. Raccoons cannot unscrew lids. Can they? |
| November 18, 1997 | New crop formation in the Hendricks field: seven circles, perfectly spaced, wheat bent but not broken. |
| January 1, 1998 | Strange smell, like wet dog and burnt pennies. Hair on my arms stood up. Went home early. |
| March 1, 1998 | Recorded a howl that does not match any animal on my tapes. Will post a WAV file when I figure out how. |
| April 27, 1998 | Found a tree with branches twisted into an X. Second one this month. |
