Cryptozoology Corner

Crop circles appear every summer in the fields outside Erie. The farmers say it is kids. I measured them. Kids are not that precise.

Field Notes

1/7/97: Heard three loud knocks from the ridge. Knocked back with a stick. Something knocked back AGAIN.

3/15/97: New crop formation in the Hendricks field: seven circles, perfectly spaced, wheat bent but not broken.

5/24/97: Recorded a howl that does not match any animal on my tapes. Will post a WAV file when I figure out how.

8/27/97: Found a tree with branches twisted into an X. Second one this month.

Creatures I Am Researching

• The Ridge Walker - tall, hairy, shy. Most sightings near logging roads.
• The Lake Lump - something big in Lake Tamarack. Seen by fishermen since 1902.
• The Swamp Glow - floating lights that move against the wind.
• The Corn Man - figure seen standing in fields right before crop circles appear.

Questions People Ask Me

Q: Are you serious?
A: Yes. Mostly. About 80 percent.

Q: Have you ever seen one?
A: I have seen SOMETHING. That is all I will say on the Internet.

Q: Can I come on an expedition?
A: E-mail me. Bring your own bug spray.

Q: Why the peanut butter?
A: Everybody likes peanut butter.
