~*~ Strange Wichita ~*~
I have spent eleven summers in the backwoods of KS with a camera, a tape recorder and a jar of peanut butter (bait). Here is what I have found.

Music: "The Murk Theme"
*~*~ Expedition Log ~*~*
| August 17, 1997 | Strange smell, like wet dog and burnt pennies. Hair on my arms stood up. Went home early. |
| July 4, 1997 | New crop formation in the Hendricks field: seven circles, perfectly spaced, wheat bent but not broken. |
| June 13, 1997 | Peanut butter jar was gone in the morning. Lid was unscrewed, not broken. Raccoons cannot unscrew lids. Can they? |
| May 9, 1997 | Heard three loud knocks from the ridge. Knocked back with a stick. Something knocked back AGAIN. |
*~*~ The Files ~*~*
- The Ridge Walker - tall, hairy, shy. Most sightings near logging roads.
- The Lake Lump - something big in Lake Tamarack. Seen by fishermen since 1902.
- The Swamp Glow - floating lights that move against the wind.
*~*~ Questions People Ask Me ~*~*
Q: Can I come on an expedition? A: E-mail me. Bring your own bug spray.
Q: Why the peanut butter? A: Everybody likes peanut butter.
