DAY BY DAY
7/18/98: Day 8: Drove home. 14 hours. Played the license plate game. Found 41 states.
4/2/98: Day 7: The beach! Sunburns all around.
2/1/98: Day 6: Flat tire in the desert. Dad changed it in 104 degrees. He is still talking about it.
12/13/97: Day 5: The canyon! So big! Mom would not go near the edge.
10/12/97: Day 4: Motel pool. The kids say this was the best part of the whole trip. $1,800 for a motel pool.
9/16/97: Day 3: Mountains! Dad got us lost on a "shortcut". We saw a moose. Worth it.
7/13/97: Day 2: The World's Second Largest Ball of Twine. The man in the gift shop was very proud.
6/9/97: Day 1: Left at 5 am. Kids asleep. By 7 am kids awake and asking "are we there yet". We were not.
