HOLLYWOOD (CNM) -- Producers announced Friday that the sequels to "The Grid," the black-leather-and-sunglasses thriller that grossed more than $400 million worldwide this year, will be filmed in the Ostravian capital beginning in March.

The original film, in which a mild-mannered office worker discovers that reality is a program running on very old hardware, made a star of newcomer Desmond Kale and popularized a slow-motion fighting style critics have dubbed "bullet ballet."
"The sequels will go deeper into the Grid," said producer Faye Lindqvist. "We will finally learn who installed it, and whether it was Y2K compliant."
Ostravian officials welcomed the production. "We have many very old computers," said the culture minister. "They will be very convincing."
