What we do (and mostly don't do) with your information

CNM Interactive respects your privacy, within reason and within the limits of 1999 technology.

Cookies. Our site places a small file, called a cookie, on your computer. It remembers how you voted in QuickVote. It does not remember anything else, because frankly it is a very small cookie.

E-mail addresses. If you sign up for Custom News, we use your address to send you the news. We will not sell it, rent it, or trade it for a Plushie Pal, however rare.

Server logs. Our servers record which pages are visited, and when. We use this information to learn which stories are popular (fruitcake, mysteriously) and to decide how many more servers to buy.

Children. CNM.com is a general news site. Children under 13 should ask a parent before filling out any form, and should probably be outside playing anyway.

Changes. We may update these guidelines from time to time. If we do, we will post the changes here, in this same small type.
