The fine print under which we let you read any of this

By using CNM.com you agree to the following terms, which our lawyers wrote and which we have been told are binding.

1. All material on this site is © 1999 Cable News Mobile. You may read it, print it, and e-mail it to your mother. You may not republish it, sell it, or claim you wrote it.

2. News is provided "as is." We try to get everything right. When we don't, we correct it, usually in smaller type than the original.

3. QuickVote results are not scientific, and neither, for that matter, are our weather forecasts beyond 48 hours.

4. Links to other sites are provided as a convenience. We are not responsible for their content, their blinking text, or their background MIDI files.

5. CNM.com is believed to be Year 2000 compliant. If on January 1 this page reads 1900, please stay calm and refresh.

6. These terms are governed by the laws of the state in which our server is located, which is a matter of some dispute among our engineers.
