GeoHoods Help

What is GeoHoods?
GeoHoods is a free home page community. Every homesteader gets a free address in one of our themed neighborhoods, 11 MB of space and free tools to build a page.

How do I get a page?
Go to Join, pick a neighborhood and a vacant address, then use Build-a-Page.

What does my address mean?
An address like Area52/Hangar/1013/ means neighborhood Area52, suburb Hangar, house number 1013. Tell your friends: "I live at 1013 Hangar, in Area52!"

How do I edit my page later?
Log in to the File Manager and press Edit next to the file. The EZ Editor shows you the HTML.

Why is there a GeoGuide box on my page?
The GeoGuide helps visitors find your neighbors, and it keeps GeoHoods free. Please don't try to hide it with a giant table. We can tell.

How do I add a counter / guestbook / music?
See Home Page Add-Ons.

My images don't show up!
Check the file name. On our servers Me.GIF and me.gif are... actually the same, we run on a very forgiving server. Check that you uploaded it, then.

Can I have a page about my business?
Small hobby businesses are OK (selling your quilts, your band's demo tape). Please read the guidelines.

I forgot my password!
We will mail you a new one on a floppy disk. Allow 4-6 weeks. (Or just ask your Community Leader.)

Is GeoHoods Y2K compliant?
Yes. See our Y2K statement.
