Garden Journal

9/26/98: Put the garden to bed for winter. See you in April, old friend.

8/9/98: Roses blooming. The "Grandma's Pink" is the best it has ever been.

5/19/98: First zucchini! By the end of the week I will be leaving them on porches.

3/24/98: Rabbits ate the lettuce. All of it. I saw one wink at me.

1/14/98: Planted tomatoes (Big Boy, Early Girl, Cherry). Fingers crossed for no frost.

Tips

• Coffee grounds for the roses
• Marigolds keep bugs away
• Water in the morning
• Never plant more than two zucchini plants. NEVER.
