Europe On $30 A Day
After graduation I took my savings and a 40-pound backpack to Europe for 2 months. I wrote this journal in Internet cafes along the way (at $5 an hour, so excuse the typos).
Journal
| September 27, 1998 | Last day. Sat by a fountain and wrote postcards to everyone. |
| July 7, 1998 | Ran out of money. Ate bread for 3 days. Good bread though. |
| June 21, 1998 | Climbed 600 steps to a cathedral roof. Worth it. |
| May 10, 1998 | Hostel with 14 people in one room. One snorer. One VERY good snorer. |
| April 6, 1998 | Night train. Slept sitting up next to a man eating sardines. |
| March 13, 1998 | Landed. Lost my luggage. Gained a friend at the luggage desk. |
