The short version: we don't sell your information. We don't even know most of it.
Cookies. Dashdot uses a few cookies to remember your nickname, your comment threshold, how many moderator points
you have left and any comments you've posted. They live in your browser. We never see them. If you delete them we will
forget you completely, which some of you may consider a feature.
Passwords. The login box asks for a password because login boxes always do. This version of Dashdot doesn't
store it, check it, or send it anywhere. Please don't use your real password from somewhere else, here or anywhere else.
Logs. Our web servers keep access logs, which we use to find out which story crashed the database.
Ads. The banner at the top is served by us. It does not follow you around the web. It barely follows you down the page.
