Basic Tags
| <HTML> | Starts the page. Do not forget it! |
| <BODY BGCOLOR="..."> | Sets your background color |
| <FONT FACE="Comic Sans MS"> | Changes the font (Comic Sans is the BEST) |
| <IMG SRC="..."> | Puts in a picture |
| <A HREF="..."> | Makes a link |
| <MARQUEE> | Makes text scroll. Fancy! |
| <BLINK> | Makes text blink. Use with care. |
| <TABLE> | Puts things in boxes |
| <HR> | A line across the page |
Webmaster Tips
DON'T put 40 animated GIFs on one page. Thirty is plenty.
DO give your pictures WIDTH and HEIGHT so the page loads faster.
DON'T use light yellow text on a white background.
DON'T steal bandwidth by linking to other people's images!
DO sign other people's guestbooks.
DON'T make your MIDI play 10 songs at once.
DO test your page in both Pioneer Navigator and Internet Explor-o-Matic.
Questions
Q: My picture does not show up!
A: Check the file name. Capital letters count on some servers!
Q: How do I make my text move?
A: Use the <MARQUEE> tag. Only works in some browsers.
Q: What is a frame?
A: It splits your page into windows. It is very advanced.
Q: How do I get my page on a search engine?
A: Submit it to every search engine. Then wait. And wait.
Q: Why does my page look different on my friend's computer?
A: Nobody knows. It is the great mystery of the Web.
