Always under construction!
Porch Swing Poetry
I have been writing poems since I was a girl and my grandson finally convinced me to put them on the computer. Here they are. Be kind.
Background music: Porch Light Lullaby
Poems
Haiku for a Modem
shrieking, then a hiss
connected at twenty-eight
my mother picks up
~ ~ ~
Haiku for Monday
alarm clock again
the coffee maker gurgles
the cat does not care
The Old Barn
The old barn leans
like a tired man
it has held hay and horses
since the century began
now swallows live
where the cows used to be
and the wind through the boards
sings a song just for me
